May 2008 - Nursery Newsletter
8th, September, 2008
Dear Parents and Children,
We hope you had a lovely summer break and are excited to be starting
Nursery this term. Welcome back to the children who started in our
Nursery last term! We are looking forward to getting to know you all
and having lots of fun!
This half-term we are going to learn all about colours and shapes. Look
out for all the different shapes and colours you might see on the way
to school. You might spot a window which is a rectangle shape and is
painted blue, or you might see some big red circle shaped tyres on a
tractor.
If you would like to borrow a book to take home, simply remember to
sign and date the red folder in the book area of the Nursery. Please
remember to leave pushchairs outside the Nursery building, to avoid
congestion in the cloakroom. All children should change into soft-soled
shoes, such as plimsolls. Children will need a warm, waterproof coat
everyday as there is access to outdoor play whatever the weather
conditions.
Please encourage your child to leave their toys at home unless they are
related to one of our topics. All items should be clearly labelled,
especially clothing and footwear.
Thank you for your co-operation and support with these matters as it
will help us tremendously with the smooth running of the Nursery
sessions and will also help your child to become more independent.
Sincerely,
Mrs.Overfield
