Mothers Day assembly

On Friday 20th March we held a Mothers Day assembly, which was very well attended by lots of our mums, dads, Grandmas, Grandads, aunties and uncles and even great grandmas! The children had worked hard all week preparing their contributions for their mums. The Nursery children sang a lovely song called 'its mothers day', Reception children wrote and performed their own super poem called 'My mum is like ...', Year 1 and 2 children wrote and performed an amazing acrostic poem called 'Happy Mothers Day' and finally Year 3 and 4 sang a beautiful song from the musical Billy Elliot called 'The Letter - Reprise'. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and many mums needed a hanky to dry their tears!
